My name is Synnöve Emilia Stenung but everyone calls me Emilia. I was supposed to be running around like all the other five years my age, my brothers were quite the active ones and I wanted to be like them. My legs felt like wobbly peg legs, and my whole body swayed and swiveled, everyone thought I had been given something. By the age of seven it got worse, and by nine I was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia, otherwise not yet specified till I was much older. It affects just about everything, every muscle in my body.
Speed forward about ten to twelve years, my life changes for the worse.. I am diagnosed with idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Or hydrocephalus, because of my slit ventricles. My health has been a circus act, but I see others worse than me and I know that if I push through it. Life can be extremely worth while.
